SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RECOMMENDATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, CITY OF SEATTLE, & THE KING CO. DEPT. OF HEALTH.

HOWEVER, we sincerely encourage you to bring your family to Magnuson Park for self-guided exploration of the Children’s Garden and park natural areas. Fresh air and nature is good medicine for body and soul, yet please maintain social distancing during the entire time you are in the park, to keep yourself and others healthy- thanks

Join us for a Saturday afternoon Beavers & Birds Wetlands Walk, led by Beavers Northwest staff, Seattle Audubon Master Birders, and Children’s Garden volunteers!

Learn about the many species of ocean waterfowl that migrate inland to spend their winters in sheltered freshwater ponds, and see which ones have already arrived at Magnuson!

Also, learn about how Magnuson’s resident Beavers have changed the wetlands for the benefit of many of wildlife species, and check out what they’ve been up to lately!

The start location for this walk is the sidewalk trail next to the Magnuson Boat Launch, which is just off Lake Shore Drive. The whole walk will be on level, crushed-rock paths.

Parking available along the edges of E-1 or E-2 parking lots.  No pre-registration necessary.
