Free Wetlands Walk, all about Birds, Dragonflies, & other insects has been cancelled

August 23, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RECOMMENDATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, CITY OF SEATTLE, & THE KING CO. DEPT. OF HEALTH.

HOWEVER, we sincerely encourage you to bring your family to Magnuson Park for self-guided exploration of the Children’s Garden and park natural areas. Fresh air and nature is good medicine for body and soul, yet please maintain social distancing during the entire time you are in the park, to keep yourself and others healthy- thanks 🙂

Join us for a Sunday morning nature walk in the Magnuson wetlands, led by Seattle Audubon Master Birders, Beavers NW staff, and Children’s Garden volunteers!

Parents and kids will enjoy using binoculars and ID guides, sampling wetland pond water, looking for signs of Beaver activity, and more.

The start location for this walk is the trail entry in the NE corner of the E-5 parking lot.  The whole walk will be on level, crushed-rock paths.

Parking available throughout the E-5 lot.  No pre-registration necessary.
