FREE Nighttime Nature Walk, all about Owls has been CANCELLED

May 23 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Owlets “branching” to strengthen their wings

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RECOMMENDATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, CITY OF SEATTLE, & THE KING CO. DEPT. OF HEALTH.

HOWEVER, we sincerely encourage you to bring your family to Magnuson Park for self-guided exploration of the Children’s Garden and park natural areas. Fresh air and nature is good medicine for body and soul, yet please maintain social distancing during the entire time you are in the park, to keep yourself and others healthy- thanks 🙂

Join us for a Saturday night Barn Owl & Owlets walk in the Magnuson Historic District, led by Seattle Audubon Master Birders and Children’s Garden volunteers!

Parents and kids will enjoy learning about the many “super powers” of owls, hunting for pellets beneath the trees and dissecting them, and nest box watching at 3 different locations near Magnuson Community Center, using a spotting scope and more.  It’ll be exciting to discover how many owlets have hatched in each nest box this year…

The walk start location is in front of Magnuson Community Center, 7110 62nd Ave NE.  The walk will be on level sidewalks on 62nd Ave. and at the base of the nearby sloped parking lot.

Parking available on the street or in the parking lot on the south side of the community center.  No pre-registration necessary.
