FREE Family Garden Day and stewardship event has been CANCELLED

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RECOMMENDATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, CITY OF SEATTLE, & THE KING CO. DEPT. OF HEALTH.

HOWEVER, we sincerely encourage you to bring your family to Magnuson Park for self-guided exploration of the Children’s Garden and park natural areas. Fresh air and nature is good medicine for body and soul, yet please maintain social distancing during the entire time you are in the park, to keep yourself and others healthy- thanks 🙂

 

Join us for a FREE Endangered Species Day Event in the Children’s Garden, with garden stewardship activities, and free nature exploration activities for the whole family:

 

  • Garden stewardship from 10am-2pm

We welcome families, students, community groups, and other volunteers to participate in simple gardening activities to sustain the garden, such as weeding, mulching, and planting.  Gloves, tools, and refreshments provided for all volunteers, and qualifies as service-learning  hours!

 

 

  • Family Garden Day from 11am-2pm

Parents and kids will also enjoy our drop-in, garden and nature exploration activities, such as worm bin exploration, building in the log pile, snack walk to our p-patch plot, chalk art, coloring pages, and nature art sculpture!
